On March 3, a meeting of the Working Group of the Union of Legal Entities of the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route" (TITR) was held in Baku.
Delegations from 10 countries participated in the meeting, including representatives of railway administrations of the association's member states and transport companies.
It was noted that the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, known as the Middle Corridor, has become one of the globally significant freight transportation routes in recent years. The importance of improving operational efficiency, implementing digital solutions, and deepening cooperation to ensure a faster cargo flow, which continues to grow annually, was emphasized.
During the meeting, the Executive Body of the Union of Legal Entities of TITR presented its report on the results of activities for 2024, and an analysis of freight transportation along the Trans-Caspian route was conducted. Participants discussed adjustments to the approved tariff rates for 2025, a draft agreement on digitalization, as well as agreements on organizing feeder connections between Caspian Sea ports and ensuring the loading of feeder vessels.
The parties agreed on the 2025 freight transportation plan along the TITR and measures for its implementation, highlighting the importance of prioritizing the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway route for container transportation to Europe.
At the end of the meeting, the Working Group protocol was signed.
It should be noted that on March 4, Baku will host the next event of the Union of Legal Entities of the International Association TITR – the General Assembly meeting.
