The Transportation Corridor North-South

The west route of the North-South Transport Corridor is intended to transport cargo through Azerbaijan from the Indian subcontinent and the Persian Gulf countries to Russia, Western Europe, Baltic and Scandinavian countries. The main privileges of the North-South Transport Corridor versus other routes are the reduction in the distance and delivery time of freight transportation by two or three times.

If transportation of goods by sea through the Persian Gulf-Suez channel – Mediterranean sea- Baltic Sea in Helsinki happens within 45-60 days, the implementation of freight delivery time along the west route of the North-South Transport Corridor is 20-25 days.
