Opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan Railways and the OSCE in the field of transport and logistics were discussed

Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Rovshan Rustamov, held a meeting with OSCE Secretary General, Feridun Sinirlioğlu.

The meeting, which took place at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, focused on opportunities for cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics.

The OSCE delegation was presented with detailed information about the country's transport and logistics potential within the framework of the Azerbaijan-initiated project “Promoting the Development of Green Ports and Connectivity in the Caspian Region.”

It was noted that the integration of the Baku Port with Azerbaijan Railways, as part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the country’s transit potential, will not only expand Azerbaijan’s transit capacity but also enhance the efficiency of freight transportation along international corridors.

Both parties emphasized that jointly implemented projects and initiatives will strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as a key transportation hub and, in general, give momentum to the sustainable development of the region.
