ADY Express, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), has launched an express container block train service on the Azerbaijan–Georgia route.
In accordance with the bilateral document signed between Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Georgian Railway JSC, the first express container block train was successfully dispatched between Azerbaijan and Georgia on January 30.
This important event is regarded as the beginning of a new stage in expanding cooperation in the field of logistics and transport in the region. Under the reached agreements, ADY Express LLC will operate express container block train services on a regular basis — weekly and according to an approved schedule.
The main objective of the new block train service is to provide customers with once-a-week transportation based on a pre-agreed schedule and fixed departure times. Regardless of the level of train formation, departures will strictly follow the established timetable, enabling customers to plan their logistics processes more accurately.
The express container block trains will operate on the Poti / Batumi – Port of Alat – Absheron Station – Sumgayit Freight Terminal route and in the reverse direction.
The new service aims to increase the speed and efficiency of cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor, strengthen regional logistics cooperation, and create flexible and reliable transport solutions for international trade. At the same time, it ensures fast, stable, and predictable transportation conditions for customers.
This initiative implemented by ADY Express LLC is aimed at strengthening Azerbaijan’s position as a key logistics hub in the region and attracting international cargo flows.
